Kathy L. Murphy Artist
Greetings from Kathy L. Murphy a.k.a The Pulpwood Queen!
Welcome to the Wonderful World of Kathy L. Murphy Art! Ever since I was a small child I have been lost in nature thanks to all the neighborhood mothers who booted us all outside for the day. I only came in when my mother rang this old school bell trudging in in despair as hot in pursuit playing kick the can. We ran wild, free, and created through our own imaginations worlds that we wanted to live in. My teachers who were also our librarians hand selected books that they thought we would want to read. I was hooked from an early age and then we liked to played dress up, getting our pets involved whether playing Tarzan or scenes from The Jungle Book, Treasure Island or the land of Peter Pan and Wendy. Our imaginations were our only boundaries and to this day that has always stayed with my now sixty four year old self. Do not try to put me in a box because for me, there is no box, no boundaries beyond my vivid and fully in color imagination. All my life I have been a life longer learner. My only regret is that I may not have time to read all the books I want to read, paint and create as much art as I have stored up in my mind, and travel to all the places in the world that I have dreamed of going. I dream BIG and hope that in this world of sharing all the beauty in the world through my art will inspire you to DREAM BIG too. We only get one life and I plan on living every minute of it. Won't you join me by entering you email below and sharing my art blog and site with others. Here is a story that my dear friend journalist, photographer/author/and artist, Tamra McAnally Bolton did on me when I was about to graduate from The University of Texas in Texas with my B.F.A. in Fine Arts, minor in Art History of Parade Magazine. A picture tell a thousand words and a story, well it's all about the story so I am sharing mine with you. Hope you too will share yours with me.
